For Squeeze at least
Watch out installing the trinity-keyring package, it writes a file to /etc/apt/sources.list.d you could then have duplicates. Best to do the keyring manually.
That is surely a bug, can't remember if it is listed (or is fixed now)
Yes,if there are apt errors, apt-get update a bit later usually works fine

I was a bit hasty on my first post, I apologize. You're getting a BADSIG error. I am unfamiliar with fixing that, however a search revealed this page: http://askubuntu.com/questions/1877/what-is-the-easiest-way-to-resolve-apt-g...
It seems to have some solutions. For example:
# apt-get clean # cd /var/lib/apt # mv lists lists.old # mkdir -p lists/partial # apt-get clean # apt-get update
Good luck, Jeff

The last time I perform a lot of updates. So it is possible that you've hit somewhere between them. Just try it again.

Hi, Ant, See: http://deb-multimedia.org/
<quote> The first package to install is deb-multimedia-keyring. Since Squeeze you can install this package with apt-get but you need to presse Y when the package ask what to do and do not press return. An new “apt-get update” is also necessary. </quote>
It is, of course, necessary to alter your sources.list and update before you try to install the key.
I had some other slight snag the most recent time that I did it for Squeeze, but I'm afraid that I can't remember what. It was easy to solve.
