Similar errors here since yesterday. There are alternative repos, if anyone can post what is current while this error remains.
Now the forum is disabled, it is especially difficult for new users, to trawl back through a mailing list for old posts to get info; experienced users can deal with it, could be a real showstopper for others
In my Wheezy install this buggers apt completely (Debian packages cannot be installed either) till Trinity is disabled, /var/apt/lists is deleted and apt-get update rerun, that's what you might need to do till this gets fixed.

I just got word of this problem now; it appears to be a DNS issue, however the DNS configuration of the Trinity web services has not been touched in several months, leading me to suspect upstream equipment and/or caches. Curiously, only the ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net DNS entry is down; all other DNS entries appear to be functioning normally. Also, "nslookup ppa2.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net pearsoncomputing.net" returns proper information, whereas "nslookup ppa2.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net" fails.
It is very late here so I cannot look into the problem tonight, but I will see what I can do tomorrow.

Looks like it was a simple DNS caching issue somewhere upstream; the issue resolved at my test systems without my intervention overnight.
If you continue to have issues please let me know!

Not resolved here...same (or similar) apt-get update (I don't use aptitude) errors now also after <rm -f /var/apt/lists>

and nslookup ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net pearsoncomputing.net
?
Thanks!

Sorry, my mistake referring to "/var/apt/lists" earlier, the correct place is actually "/var/lib/apt/lists" and it is "rm -f /var/apt/lists/* I used to delete the maybe corrupt lists (they do get regenerated)
I noticed also files in /var/apt/lists/partial (I deleteted them too) if that's of any relevance
Now, apt-get update is successful on both the Wheezy and Squeeze installs, no more errors. Whatever you did, thanks Tim.
greets!
I installed the trinity kde system several days ago and am getting used to it, using an hp pavillion laptop with Debian.
I have problems with one app, klibido 3.5.12. you can enter characters, words or regular expressions in a little bar called 'filter by subject'.
when I try to do so, nothing shows up: no text is entered, nor can one do 'ctrl +a' to select all the headers. basically no keyboard entry is possible.
I am using standard us-intl keyboard layout. the machine is an HP Pavillion laptop. it has worked fine with all variants of Linux I've had on it. I have no other keyboard input problems so far.
I have not tried reinstalling klibido.
any tips?
F.
