Hello everyone,
Since the last announcement was incorporated a second set of patches for a future release 3.5.13.2. Those who continue to use my PPA probably already have the update installed. I expect that the final version 3.5.13.2 would be in the second half of March.
Here is a detailed list of backported patches: http://www.trinitydesktop.org/wiki/bin/view/Documentation/Releases_3_5_13_2_...
I note that there are also available packages for Ubuntu Quantal (12.10) and Debian Wheezy (7.0):

Please test it :) Comments and suggestions welcome.

Fully dist-upgraded wheezy here.
I'm getting a "trail" which remains for a few minutes when moving icons in a konq window. That didn't happen before.
Any ideas what to do about it?

David,
good point! Also, I see - when moving it remains footprint of selection frame. I believe that this is due to commit 82b71e49. However, it probably indicates an error in the rendering selection frame when moving icon. Interesting is that when I move multiple icons at once, so the footprint remains from only one icon.

It is you, Slavek, who must be thanked for such great work with these updates. And that problem, here at least, is confirmed solved after today's dist-upgrade!

a question -- used to be that 3.5 would accept "forever" when it was accepted for a hinky certificate. then it didn't (and doesn't.) there's a patch that kludges past whatever got broken last version, apparently not ideally but better than nothing.
wondering if that patch is incorporated in the soon-to-be-released version, or if there is some other bugfix of it, or if the new upgrade will represent no change in that department.
because as it stands, such things as automatic mail checks are not possible if kde doesn't like the certificate.
thanks for all everyone here does.

Hi Slavek (and others),
first of all many thanks for all your efforts. I have a fresh Ubuntu Precise 32 bit install here and just updated. Most of the parts are working well. A few comments / questions though:
1) I looked a while for your ppa and what string I have to put into my apt/sources.list file to use it. Nothing is mentioned at the Trinity page. Don't you want a bigger audience to test your packages? Where do you advertise for your ppas?
2) I first freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04 including unity (normal Ubuntu install). Afterwards I installed TDE. I had to remove kgtk-qt3-trinity for the system to work well (e.g. downloading files with firefox was not possible, ...). Maybe due to that order I have a few quirks to solve now:
a) lightdm is the default Desktop Manager. Where can I switch to TDM?
b) I can not shutdown my computer from menue. Only a logout button is shown. I have to log out, open the menu in lightdm and than press shutdown. Can I change this?
c) No menue pops up when I connect a USB stick to my computer. I have to mount / unmount by hand or launch nautilus where all works like expected. Any chance to change this? My guess: seems to be a HAL /DBUS problem.
d) Launching an mp3 in Konqueror starts Amarok but gives message: "xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers". If I enable the sound system in system-settings the message "Restarting sound system" stays forever in the pop-up affter an Apply. (Sound in Audacity works well!)
If it is necessary to remove Unity from my system for the above to work I will happily do it but at least someone should give me the hint that that is the direction to go.
