not automatic, IMHO.
this is a feature which kde4 has: akonadi-googledata-ressource (or similar
name).

kaddressbook doesn't crash any more while importing Google calendar but
I can get only one way synchronising (Google -> kaddressbook).
To get 2 ways synchronising, I use GCALDaemon launched in
~/.kde/Autostart.
http://gcaldaemon.sourceforge.net/
It's overkill but works quite well.
