Where is the option in Kate/KWrite to enable real-time inline spell checking?
Thanks.

Hi Darrell,
I use LibreOffice for that so I don't actually know, but since no one else responded, I'll point you at 'Plugins.' There are ones in KWrite named:
- KDataTool - Word Completion
That might work? If not, there's probably other plugins available. Not that I'd know what package they're in :(
Best, Michael

Under Settings -> Configure Kate... -> Editor -> Plugins, there's an option "KTextEditor KDataTool Plugin" whose help text says "Enable data tools like thesaurus and spell check (if installed)". That's the only setting anywhere that seems to mention spell check.
If you want realtime text highlighting of misspelled words (ugh) and the above toggle doesn't enable it, there may not be an option for it—it isn't exactly a widely requested feature in a syntax-highlighting programmer's editor.

Already tried that. :(

Geany has the option, as does KDE Kate and KWrite.

As I know, that feature has been appeared only in KDE4 for Kate and what was very missed for me in TDE.
