not Kompozer. The KDEPIM is from 3.5.10.
AFAIK this should be a configuration option in KDE's settings.

Yes it should, but setting the application preference to Firefox in System
Settings/default appications/web browser has no effect on this behaviour in
KDEPIM 3.5.10.
It does for other programs.
