How can I increase Kmail's HTML font to a readable size? (See attachment.) There's no line item in Settings -> Appearance -> Fonts -> Apply to: for Message Body - HTML. Yes, yes, I know; HTML can have multiple font sizes. What I need is some
way
to scale them all by some percentage, or something.
Settings > Configure kmail > Appearance
Seems to work here, for everything BUT the message window itself.
Bummer.

Scroll to message body, I think it's that one. Just keep playing with it, the option is there. I've set it to 14 point meself.

Kate
If it's here (see attachment), it's Very well hidden. The settings here
for
Message Body affect only the plain-text.

Leslie I was wrong, you were right. There's no html body text adjustment, that I can see.

don't know about HTML, but usually CTRL+ mouse wheel up works just fine

I didn't know that trick, indeed it does work! Thank you deloptes. I'll go crawl into bed happy.

Thanks, deloptes. That works fine for both HTML and plain text. Good one! I just have to to remember to use it. :-(
Cheers, Glen
PS. An aside to Gene Heskett, Enjoy your improved vision. Watch for the next rainbow, it will be brilliant! Been there, done that 35 years ago. :-) G.

Well, this is certainly a step in the right direction. Thank you. Now we just need a way for kmail to remember it.

I think you need to define custom font in the look and feel section of kmail configuration.

But I have already done that, but it has no affect the HTML version of an email. I tried jacking the size up as you suggest, but even with it set to an unusable degree for the plain-text body (e.g. 18pt) the HTML is unchanged, still too small. See attached.

I have made a few tests. Changing the "Message body" text size seems to work for all messages except html messages.
My guess is that html text size could be setup in the html code. Looking at one of the few html messages I got shows things like "ms-text-size 100%" and "font-size: 14px".
Konqueror keeps the icon size if you modify it with ctrl-mouse wheel. kmail does seem to do that.

this seems to be true, but the CTRL+wheel up seems to work. It looks like this functionality could be explicitly available. If you wish log a feature request.

No feature request for me concerning html. I don't like html mails (although it becomes difficult to ignore them all).
Leslie (or her customers) seems to want them.

Same here. Luckily not getting many in the mailboxes handled by kmail.
Leslie (or her customers) seems to want them.
Well, then Leslie might want to make the request.
