I tried to update my debian stable TDE-based system this morning, and received this error message:
E: /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-96xDOO/031-tdebase-data-trinity_4%3a14.0.6~pre21-0debian9.0.0+7_all.deb: trying to overwrite '/opt/trinity/share/icons/crystalsvg/16x16/apps/kcmdf.png', which is also in package kdf-trinity 4:14.0.6~pre5-0debian9.0.0+0
Synaptic is reporting a broken package, but the instructions as to how to proceed in this situation are exceedingly unclear.
Anyway. Something is obviously wrong, and it appears to be a TDE packaging error of some kind and I thought I should post here to put the issue before people who understand this a lot better than I do.

Hi Doc, That error was created by an update to tdebase last Friday and rectified on Saturday. The updated package should normally be available already. If not, please try again in a day or two. Cheers Michele

I also got that same message, and now I am stuck because of broken packages held.
So I tried again just now since the broken package line disappeared, but it got back into that state again so I repeated the install click because the version was identical, and tde-base went in and fixed it this time, but dpkg went over all 85 updates the second time too. Wierd. Now I'll reboot because it wanted to.

Hi Doc,
this is because several icons have been moved from the kdf-trinity package to tdebase-data-trinity. In dependencies, this situation is treated for update from R14.0.5 (and earlier) to R14.0.6. Therefore, in the case of updates between R14.0.6, a conflict may occur. I suppose the kdf-trinity update was successful on your side. Therefore, the subsequent update of the tdebase-data-trinity should already be successful.
