I would say that is the correct behavior. When an appointment is accepted, it gets added to the calendar and the original email moved to trash. That is what Outlook does as well.

Might be, if a calender was there. In my case there isn't :(

I think the question here is if the peer that invited you received the acknowledgment.

Well, that mail landed in the "sent"-folder, so I think it left my system (and nobody complained avbout not receiveiving it).
