Is it possible to port KDE3 "branding" packages from a distro, say
OpenSUSE for example, to Trinity? If so, how would this be
accomplished and what steps would be involved?

It is possible to port applications from KDE to TDE but some work is required. You can

If you do end up converting some applications, please consider sharing your result with
the developer team, so we can
include such applications in TDE officially.
