Hi, I can not help you as I gave up ktorrent from the KDE3 long long time ago. I was using the KDE4 version on one of my machines for quite a while, but it was not worth maintaining this env for only one app, so I recently moved to qBittorrent (nox version) and I am pretty happy with it.
