Hello all,
Is there some trick I could use to get back my layout automatically (for now I manually switch layout twice per reconnect)?
Hello,
How is your keyboard set up? I never use bluetooth (never saw this work correctly) but I do use a KVM so I'd guess the keyboard is also on and off.
It seems TDE can use keyboard settings from the system, but I always set my keyboard in TCC -> Regional & accessibility -> Keyboard Layout and never had problems.
Don't know if that can help, but as you asked for "any" tip :)

Well, I selected it in Bluetooth manager for connection, and once it is paired it works pretty similar to USB keyboard for which you would pull and insert the plug constantly.

If KVM is KVM switch here, yes, it is pretty similar experience.

You mean you set in TCC non-US layout and after reconnecting TDE preserves your non-US layout? When working with vanilla KDE3 and KVM some time ago I had exactly the same issue -- layout reset on reconnect.
I am asking because I selected my keyboard layout within TCC.
Cheers,

Yes, I set swiss-french in TCC (I have US as backup) and I keep swiss-french when using the KVM, or disconnecting - reconnecting the (USB, with cable) keyboard.
As I said, no experience with bluetooth.
