Greetings all;
I am having a problem with the mouse pointer being very hard to find on the milling machines box. TCC doesn't show me any themes, so what do I need to install that will A, give me a bigger pointer, and B color it some bright color with buckets of contrast on the default bluish TDE screen?
Cheers, Gene Heskett

Hi,
Cursor themes are usually available in the TDE Control Center in Peripherals - Mouse and Cursor Theme tab. Cursor themes aren't TDE specific, so if you do a search for the ''cursor'' word in Synaptic (or your preferred package manager app), you should be able to find cursor theme packages.
Most of the time, they are in /usr/share/icons/(name of the cursor theme)/cursors
Have a great day! -Alexandre

Look for packages comixcursors: aptitude search "comixcursors"

Installed by synaptic, but I've not been to the machine to select it yet, many thanks, Slavek.

I owe you a big thank you, Slávek, as so often. I had been having a lot of trouble locating the mouse pointer I was currently using on my desktop, but had not yet got down to the hassle of going onto the KDE eye-candy page and finding myself a new theme. I have succeeded that way, and knew that I could do it - but it is a hassle. Then you sent this email. I downloaded and installed this package immediately, then went into KControl to look at it. (On this box I am still on 3.5.13.2. I know that I should upgrade, but there is never a good moment.)
My first impression was that they were ugly. My second that I should at least try - and red was available. I find red stands out well. (Except against black.) So I switched to Large Red. I don't like the shape. It isn't pretty. But I haven't lost the mouse pointer a single time since I switched. I am just so grateful, Slávek. Who cares if my mouse pointer is pretty??? I CAN SEE IT!!!!! And there is still extra large available, should I need it. Thank you so much.
And now that I have got used to it, the matching cursor is great too. Again, clearly visible. The red balls at either end really stand out.
Lisi
