Kate, it will probably be ready before Christmas. If your computers runs well regular PCLinuxOS, it will run my TDE remaster as well. For the moment, I had an issue with the PCLOS installer who don't seem to ''see'' TDM and wants me to install XDM. Francois tried something but it doesn't work for me.
For now, I have installed GDM and it seem to work flawlessly. I will probably just put a PDF instruction file on the desktop so that the new users will know where to go in the PCLinuxOS control center to switch the session manager to TDM.
I use the Qt-Curve theme for now. It provides consistent look between QT3, Qt4 and GTK2 apps. If you provide a link to the baghira theme, it could include it. Do you have a GTK2 equivalent too?

Yes they do run PCLOS just fine, but not with kde4. Usually it crashes. This doesn't happen with kde3, tde, gnome3 and E17. I do notice that kde4 eats a large amount of ram. Most of the machines have 2 gigs or more, the rest have 4 gigs or more. So it's not a ram problem.
Regardless I'd love to do a complete and clean install of a TDE based PCLOS install. I document everything from beginning to end and then later use it to create an install guide.

Kate, I tried to install the Mandriva rpm of the baghira theme on my the computer. Then, I moved all of the files where they should be. (In KPackage, I was able to see the list of the files and where they were uncompressed) It doesn't work. Trinity is probably not binary compatible with KDE3 anymore, so the theme would have to be re-compiled from the source, something that I don't know how to do... Probably some persons here know ho to do it?
With the next releases of Trinity, we will probably see support for using GTK theme (as we see on the news page here) or for using QT4 themes. QT4 supports using GTK2 themes, so we might be able to use a GTK2 or GTK3 theme that looks like Baghira, but not for now. For the windows decoration (or borders), it would be probably easy to find an IceWM theme that looks like baghira. Trinity have a windows decoration theme engine that supports IceWM theme.
Regarding the installation of TDE, it isn't very hard. Just follow instructions provided by Francois Andriot to add his repo and to install TDE. After that, go in the PCLOS control center and in the boot tab, go in ''Set up display manager'' to change your display manager to TDE and after that, reboot your computer.
One thing, Francois Andriot did not specified the right text file for the repos lists. The repos lists in PCLOS is in: /etc/apt/sources.list
This is the file where the url of his repos should go.

I use KDE3 artwork and themes on TDE. And I haven't compiled anything. Maybe I only want simple things.

No, it was not a mistake. It works with the exact instructions I gave. I think using several small repository files under "sources.list.d" folder is more convenient than having one big "sources.list" file. (this is the way PPA for ubuntu are doing BTW).

Thank you Francois for the theme! It works! While it's not the theme I prefer personally, I'll include it pre-installed on my remaster.
Regarding the installation of TDE, after adding your repo, I did the following steps in Synaptic, so this is probably why I couldn't see your repo in the Repositories configuration menu. After transferring your repos URL at the regular place for PCLOS, it worked as it should. I think that it would probably have worked with the file you have specified but it might just not be diplayed in the repo config menu of Synaptic, so it's okay!
On PCLOS, when I do a remaster, it works exactly the same way as the hdd install I had when I run it in live cd mode, but when I install it, as I said in another message, it asks for xdm even if I don't plan to use it. So I have installed xdm and it don't ask for it anymore. I have found the file that specify which dm should be used when the system will be installed. It is: /etc/draklive-install.d/sysconfig/desktop If I use tdm as the dm, I get ''No greeter pluging found'' when I reboot after the installation and it does not run the pclos config wizard as it should. As a workaround for that, I have set the default dm to be GDM. It works as it should as much for the livecd as for the first boot and the subsequent boots. Also, it does not skip the PCLOS config wizard. If the user don't need special fonctions only provided by tdm, the system could be used with GDM without any problem. I will simply put on the desktop of the once-installed system a PDF file containing the instructions for changing the dm to tdm if desired. Once the system is installed, tdm can be used normally, but not at the first boot right after the installation. It is probably a distro-related problem.
