I've got a question:
Why is it when you reboot Q4OS / TDE and log back in,
Why doesn't TDE connect to the internet automatically, like it did in MATE or
like any other DE would?

It must be Q4OS, not TDE, because it does not happen with Debian and MX.
Another thing I remember from trying Q4OS: they did *not* install the full
TDE, so maybe something is missing that would be required to get automatic
connection.
But TDE can do it!
