Hello,
I cannot resize the windows with the right button of the mouse as before, on kde-trinity 3.5.
So, I must accept two sizes, a size by default (80 X 24) or the mode full screen.
Thanks.

I made a mistake to resize a window with the mouse :
I put the arrow of the mouse on the window's border, a double arrow appears, and with the left button, I could resize the window. It worked before, but now no...

Could you please be more specific? Does this happens for all windows or a single app? Because some programs do not allow window resizing.

Yes, with all applications : kmail, iceweasel (all web browser), kedit..., impossible to resize.

Do you mean "impossile to resize with right mouse button" or "impossible to resize with left mouse button"? LMB resize works for me, but RMB has never worked (or maybe I've never tried)

When it worked => left button,
and now, no resizing left and right buttons.

Have you checked the mouse? Does it resize windows on another computer? Alternatively, have you tried another mouse on this computer?

Yes, the mouse works fine on another Linux Wheezy, with kde-trinity 3.5 : I can resize the windows.
How to reinstall kde -trinity 3.5 ? Which commands ? I think that it is not properly installed...
Good night, west european time :-)

What is it you are using now, Jessie?

Maybe it's not Trinity but the driver not (properly) installed. Do you have both xserver-xorg-input-evdev and xserver-xorg-input-mouse installed? Maybe the solution is to force a switch from the one in use (according to Xorg.0.log) to the other. Jessie is probably using evdev as here, Wheezy more likely mouse.

Can you do the following: On the window you want to resize, right click on the icon at the top left of the window border, usually just on top of the ''File'' menu. Browse around in the options, and maybe you'll see that an option to freeze the window size is activated.
Thank you! -Alexandre
err the right click resize need the ALT key, you tried: alt+right click , then resize ? working here

I received many answers, but no solutions to explore or manage...
Obviously, the resize problem comes from a broken package.
I decided to upgrade from kde-trinity-3.5 to tde-trinity-14.0.
Now, it seems working fine, I can resize all the windows and window's applications.

Seems like win-win to me. Your broken windows are fixed and you get the nice shiny r14.0. Now, take the plunge to r14.0.1 (Trinity preliminary stable builds) and get rid of some bugs. ;-)

Just out of curiosity, if you right-click on the title bar, does the context menu include the "resize" option? If so, does it work?

I am not on TDE right now and just go by memory, but actions associated to the left/center/right mouse buttons are configurable. Have you checked in the Control Center that the configuration is correct? Probably in Windows Behavior if my memory is right. Cheers Michele
