Hello I've found 3 things in Konqueror, they may be bugs or maybe they are just Konqueror's specific ways of interaction and I am using MS Explorer too much :). So I don't know should I file bugs for them:
Issue 1: Which files are selected? I am using Detailed List View in Konqueror. When I use mouse to select few files dragging a rectangle, sometimes one or more files below the rectangle are selected too.
Issue 2: Inconsistent file renaming methods Renaming "in place" in Konqueror is a very useful function if small keyboard is used. It is easier to click on the name again, type new name and hit Return (or Esc if I made a mistake). But clicking on the name doesn't always work. This behaviour is inconsistent in different view modes - it works in icon view modes, it doesn't work in list view modes.
Issue 3: New folder and then... When I create a new folder, enter its name and hit Return two times, I think I should enter this new folder, not the first folder in the list. But maybe it's Konqueror's default way?.

It works here in list view modes. I couldn't test your first point because I didn't understand it. (Trinity 3.5.13.2 and Konqueror 3.5.10.)

The first one - As in screenshot. File "rpcbind.sock" is selected but is outside rectangle. It looks like rectangle is properly drawn, but files are selected by some other "virtual".
The second one - The renaming itself (without dialog) works. I'm writing about method to invoke renaming. In icon view I can click on name of selected file, with detailed list view it needs F2 or "Rename" command. Marek
P.S. Checked on TDE R14 nightly in Debian Wheezy, but these problems are also in 3.5.13.2.

In icon view in 3.5.13.2 _I_ can just click, as I said. I always right click (whatever the view). Are you doing something different?
Lisi
In icon view I am just left-clicking on name of selected file. Name becomes editable. In List view it needs right-clicking. Marek

I have to right click on both. So I find both identical. There is obviously something different in your set-up from mine.
I certainly don't have to use F2 or anything.

That's different than in my set-up. To make renaming with left click possible, an option must be selected. This option is in settings, I don't know how is it called in English version, in Polish it's "Wewnętrzna edycja nazwy plików" which can be roughly translated to "Internal file renaming". It is in the first "tab" of Konqueror's settings window, the last option in the topmost group box.

In English it's "Rename Icons Inline". That's a little cryptic; I think it would be better called something like, "In Icon View, click filename to rename". I rarely use Icon Mode, so had never tried it before now. I don't know, but I would guess it works only in Icon View because it would be very inconvenient in other Views, to have it go into Rename mode every time you click on a filename.
And it solves the problem! "Rename icons inline" - this is description which explains what happens if this option is selected. In Polish versions there are no "icons" but "files" in the description! Now it's clear for me. Marek

This is a "fuzzy" translation, which I was talking about in another thread. There are lots of stuff like that (at least in french language) since the automated translation updates occurs ...

I have been trying again to do this. It simply doesn't work in my 3.5.13.2. Is it supposed to do so?

Hello I've found 3 things in Konqueror, they may be bugs or maybe they are just Konqueror's specific ways of interaction and I am using MS Explorer too much :). So I don't know should I file bugs for them:
Issue 1: Which files are selected? I am using Detailed List View in Konqueror. When I use mouse to select few files dragging a rectangle, sometimes one or more files below the rectangle are selected too.
Does the rectangle touch the file that is being selected? If so then this is the correct behaviour.
Based on Lisi's comment I'd go ahead and file bugs for the other two so that we can analyze further.

I don't know about #2, but I believe that #1 & #3 are not bugs.
First, #1 works just fine here, no extra files if I don't select them
I think that #3 is just the way Konqueror works. After creating a new folder, Konqueror does not select it automatically. It is easy to see which folder or file is selected by the faint dotted outline. Hitting return enters that folder or opens that file, NOT the newly created directory.
