I'd like to report a bug in the package shown below.
I've been browsing and searching all over gitea and cgit and I confess I am clueless.
How exactly am I supposed to find the right place to report this bug?
Tx,

Hi Mike, you hit on a metapackage, which is part of the TDE/tde repo. https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tde/src/branch/master/main/m...
You can report it on TDE/tde :-)
Cheers Michele

Thank you Michele.
I tried searching for redmond and, since it is maintained by the tde-debian team, for debian but had no luck.
Is there a good starting place where one can search for a package name to find where to file it?

Hi Mike, there doesn't seem to be a quick way to search for file names through TGW or CGIT web interface. You can search by module name (like tdebase, koffice, abakus) and this normally covers 99% of the cases. Only meta-packages and external dependencies would not show up, like the case with "redmond".
You could of course download the complete source code of TDE and do a (fuzzy) search in it, but I am not sure that is what you were looking for.
Cheers Michele

Hi Mike,
there would be a simple binding: If the problem relates to packaging, then the corresponding repository is likely to always be TDE/tde-packaging. Exceptions are probably only extra-dependencies packages that Michele mentioned.
Cheers

Hi Mike, Michele, all
because it is a meta-package, then a suitable place for report bugs/issues seems TDE/tde-packaging repository because it will be repaired there.
In any case, TDE/tde is a good place when it is not obvious where the problem belongs. Therefore, the use of TDE/tde is not wrong - we will eventually create a follow-up issue in the appropriate repository.
