Greetings all;

I have been forced to open a terminal and do an "alsactl restore" after every login despite scattering such around in the rc.local and Xsession files.

A misscue with htop killed tdm yesterday, and when it had reinited to the login screen, and I had restarted everything that killed, I had no sound, indicating the sound killer was maybe part of the stuff that runs as root before I login.

So, since its working ATM, I just did a "sudo alsactl store", which if its root related, should fix it. We'll see on the next x restart, whether its a reboot or ?? And when I have had to restart, if I then have sound, I'll report back.
