Hello,
Since I upgraded my Debian 12, a folder has been created on my desktop with this name (sic): Tlchargement. (the attached image shows it. (in english "Download"). Before, the name of this folder was : "Téléchargement", I could change it by "Telechargement" I can't delete it or change its name. In /home/andre/ I have the two folders : Téléchargement & Telechargement
What happens with this folder ?
Thanks and cheers, André

If the problem is deleting the file/folder, I also got this problem with filenames created by Microsoft and/or Apple.
Midnight Commander is the answer. MC can delete these files (at least in my case)

Hello Thierry, With MC I was able to delete it (magic !)
But I cannot install an icon for MC on the desktop, (only in terminal mode by the command "mc"), even though it's super easy to order = "mc" (2 letters). When I click on the icon, nothing starts... I tried "/bin/mc", idem, no answer.

There is a small trick:
This I assume you know;
- Right click on Desktop -> Create New -> Link to Application - Choose name and icon a you wish - In "Application" enter mc as command
And now commes the "trick" :)
- Click on "Advanced Options" - select "Run in terminal"
That lets you run mc from the desktop.

Good, it works, MC starts directly without having to go through a terminal before. Thanks again for your prompt answer with success. André
