I browse to a website that contains GIF images. When I click on any of these images I get this error message:
There was an error loading the module Gwenview Image Viewer. The diagnostics is: Library files for "libgvimagepart.la" not found in paths.
I click OK and the image is displayed. I checked the Konqueror file association settings for GIF and found
KView Gwenview Gwenview V4 GIMP Kolourpaint Wine Internet Explorer Pinta
This looks like KView should be being used not Gwenview; but I removed Gwenview V4 just in case it was causing some conflict. But I got the same result. I also tried upgrading to the most recent available Konqueror and Gwenview components from the repository, but again got the same result. Any suggestions?

I did a bit more poking around and found that libgvimagepart.la comes in trinity-gwenview, supposedly stored in /opt/trinity/lib64. Looking in that directory, I see no libgvimagepart.* files. I tried doing a force update of the trinity-gwenview package, but the file still does not appear in the directory.

fwiw, i'm running the 64-bit version and have:
/opt/kde3/lib/kde3/libgvimagepart.la /opt/trinity/lib/trinity/libgvimagepart.la
top listing is because i try to keep one version back around, in case i need to revert, which i might if this kmail thing can't get sorted out soon.

I get the fiollowing error trying to view a web page with Konq. While It seems that a library is not found, the error does metion 'path'.
I have several users on my box, I can start Konq as another user and it works as expected. It is just my main login that is affected.

Okay, that didn't work; after deleting and reinstalling trinity-gwenview, this is what I see:
$ll /opt/trinity/lib64|grep libg lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 2013-03-04 15:20:20 libgdbmi_parser.so.0 -> libgdbmi_parser.so.0.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 47K 2012-10-01 15:22:24 libgdbmi_parser.so.0.0.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 747 2012-09-29 15:49:00 libgmcop.la lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2013-02-08 04:16:01 libgmcop.so.1 -> libgmcop.so.1.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 19K 2012-09-29 15:50:04 libgmcop.so.1.0.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 759 2012-09-30 12:12:37 libgpgme++.la lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 2013-02-08 04:19:00 libgpgme++.so -> libgpgme++.so.0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 2013-02-08 04:17:14 libgpgme++.so.0 -> libgpgme++.so.0.4.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 161K 2012-09-30 12:35:28 libgpgme++.so.0.4.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1.5K 2012-10-06 03:24:08 libgwenviewcore.la lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 2013-03-10 16:24:47 libgwenviewcore.so.1 -> libgwenviewcore.so.1.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1.2M 2012-10-06 03:24:37 libgwenviewcore.so.1.0.0 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 753 2012-09-30 12:12:39 libgwsoap.la lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 14 2013-02-08 04:19:06 libgwsoap.so -> libgwsoap.so.0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 2013-02-08 04:18:53 libgwsoap.so.0 -> libgwsoap.so.0.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 3.4M 2012-09-30 12:35:28 libgwsoap.so.0.0.0
So again, how/where should I go to get libgvimagepart.* for manual installation?
