If you can, to clone the entire git repository tree, use the procedure described in the Readme on the TGW:

https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tde

Using the switch_all_submodules_to_head_and_clean script ensures that not only the 'tde' repository but also all other submodules are cloned from the TGW.

TGW is now the main development workspace because scm.trinitydesktop.org is very unstable (probably due to java × ppc64el). We have already prepared a replacement for the current scm.trinitydesktop.org, but we have been unable to contact Tim for nearly two months :(
