Hi. I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 Trinity that I installed by LiveCD on mirror Trinity. When I watch videos on YouTube by Firefox has no sound. What do you need to do? Have to install some program?

Do you have sound with other programs?
I don't know Ubuntu, here on Debian you need to have pulse audio working (or alsa if you don't use pulse audio). Check if you have sounds in trinity control center for example. If yes, then your problem is with Firefox.
You can also look at what kmix (Trinity menu - Multimedia - Sound Mixer) reports for your sound system.

Hi Thierry.
Yes, the problem is with Firefox, there is no sound when viewing Youtube.

This may not be of any help, but I remember reading a thread in a usenet ng (Ubuntu?) that resulted in the finding that Firefox required a sound library file only provided in the distro non-free selections. Whereas the "other" browsers had the ability built in. It may have been an issue with a 'flavor' of mp4, IDK.
It was not an issue I had much interest in.
I can't help any further, and the above comes from a frail and fragile memory. :-)
Good Luck!

Firefox needs Pulseaudio to play sound, so make sure it is installed and launch. Then you may need to you pavucontrol to control the volume. TDE support for PA in KMix is still fairly limited, although you can get audio from Firefox and PA. Cheers Michele
Follow Michele tip and install PulseAudio. I restarted my computer and opened Youtube in Firefox, now I have sound normally.
Before installing Ubuntu 20.04 Trinity, I had installed Xubuntu 20.04 and Debian 10 LXDE and had sound normally with Firefox.

As far as I know TDE does not provide any sound libraries of it's own. So I'd guess the problem is an Ubuntu 20.04 / Firefox problem rather than a Trinity one.
Thierry
I did a test with speakers and both mp3 audio files and also mp4 video files have sound normally.
No need to install Pavucontrol, manage to control the volume KMix through. Thanks Michele and everyone for the tips and help.
