Hi
The installation instructions in https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/Ubuntu_Trinity_Repository_Installation_Instr...
Are quite good, but it is not clear what is the most recent version?
The instructions read
deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.x <your-distribution> main deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.x <your-distribution> main deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.x <your-distribution> main deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.x <your-distribution> main
So for Ubuntu it would be 20.04. But what is the x in r14.0.x there is no link to clarify this.
BTW, should I use that one or the preliminary stable one
# Trinity preliminary stable builds deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-sb <your-distribution> deps-r14 main-r14 deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-sb <your-distribution> deps-r14 main-r14

The r14.0.x link takes you to the current version (14.0.8) without you having to know that it is 8 and without you having to change your config when it moves on to 14.0.9.

I have mostly used r14.0.x. There was a period of time when I used PSB because it had a bugfix I needed but r14.0.x is more stable and has fewer updates to worry about.

If you want to update once in a while (approx twice a year) use r14.0.x. If you want any update of the R14.0.x series as soon as tehy become available, use PSB. If you want the devel version of R14.1.0 use PTB.
All the versions are quite stable and usable on a daily base. It all depends on your needs and preferences.
Cheers Michele

I am confused
So the link reads really
deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.x focal main deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.x focal main deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.x focal main deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.x focal main
X is *not* a placeholder for a number which should be inserted
So
deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.8 focal main deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.8 focal main deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.8 focal main deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.8 focal main
Is wrong?
Would be good to clarify
