Hi all,
after R14.1.0 was released, the development windows were open. This time
there are two windows - one for the upcoming R14.1.1, the other for the
future R14.2.0. The first pull-requests have already been merged and the
packages are already waiting in the queue for publishing...
If you use a stable R14.0.x series, you should consider performing tests
and switching to R14.1.x series, because R14.0.x is now closed and there
will be no further releases in this series.
If you used to use the Preliminary Testing Builds only temporarily and
prefer a little quieter Preliminary Stable Builds, it is time to switch
the repository. Likewise, if you used the Preliminary Stable Build only
temporarily and prefer quiet waters of stable releases, it is time to
switch to repository of official releases R14.1.x.
Currently, all repositors are the same - the stable releases R14.1.x, PSB
and PTB, so it is a good time to switch between repositories. At the end
of this week (May 7) it is planned to restart builds for PTB repository -
se there will be the first packages for R14.2.0~pre. At the end of the
following week (May 14) it is planned to restart builds for PSB
repository - so there will be the first packages for R14.1.1~pre.

For clarification, the PSB and PTB repositories do not exist for RPM-based distros,
right?

(1) When running TDE click on Help in the T menu and then
choose the first (Welcome to TDE) link which will show
the TDE revision on the second line.
(2) From a user shell started within TDE you can:
$ tde-config -v
Qt: 3.5.0
TDE: R14.1.0
tde-config: 1.0
(3) If TDE is installed but you're not currently in TDE
you can do the equivalent of (2) if you know where
TDE is installed. e.g. in Debian and Ubuntu:
# /opt/trinity/bin/tde-config -v
Qt: 3.5.0
TDE: R14.1.0
tde-config: 1.0
(4) Otherwise you would have to look at the installed TDE
packages to determine the version, e.g. in Debian and Ubuntu:
# dpkg -l | awk '/tdelibs-trinity/ {print $3}'
4:14.1.0-0debian11.0.0+0

You probably need to update your /etc/apt/sources.list to tell
it that you want 14.1.x.

If you expand the block below that you can see the old 14.0.x
format which was somewhat different so it's not just a case
of changing 0 to 1.

both PTB and PSB are already open for new targets, so R14.1.0 packages for
Bookworm are no longer available in these repositories. I consider that
for the final version of Bookworm I will make build packages of final
R14.1.0.
