Hello,
I'm trying to install Trinity Desktop into my workstation but when I run
the yum install it fails because a lot of packages are not found.
I opened the
http://mirror.ets.kth.se/trinity/trinity/rpm/el5/trinity-3.5.13/RPMS/i386/u…
to see the contents of the repository but it's completely empty. I
tried with other RHEL version and archs and have a lot of files on it.
Is there any mirror available to install it?

Hello, alas, TDE 3.5.13 was not built
for RHEL 5 on i386.
So, you won't find it on any mirror.
I will build the packages and keep you informed when they will be
downloadable.

It seems to work fine in my virtual machine (freshly installed with
Centos 5.7).
The only package conflict I found is the "guile" package. You should
uninstall it before installing TDE:
# yum remove guile
You now have to sit and wait for the official mirrors to be
synchronized, which should occur in ~24h.
Have fun with TDE :-)

Hello, the "trinity-desktop" package is available in the
"trinity-extras-noarch" repository:
http://ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/el5/trinity-…
It should be available on all mirrors by now.
Have you downloaded the correct ".repo" file for your computer ?
Have you tried cleaning the yum cache and trying again ?
# yum clean all
# yum install trinity-desktop

Yes, it was my fault. Now I have TDE running. Anyway using yum install
trinity-desktop gives me some package dependency fails. But I managed to
install it without installing the meta-package.

Good news :)
I built TDE on Centos 5.7, it should work on the official RHEL 5, but
the problem is that official RHEL 5 comes with almost no multimedia
package, whereas free clones as Centos comes with some "extra" packages ...
All multimedia package that could be required for TDE 3.5.13 on RHEL 5
(xine, ffmpeg, jack ...) are taken from 3rd party repositories, mainly
"atrpms", and a few from "epel".
RHEL 6 has more distro-provided multimedia libraries than RHEL 5, so the
3rd parties repositories are less needed.
Fedora does not require any 3rd party repository at all, everything is
provided in the base distro.
