I too have been trying to install KMail for ages (well it seems like ages) using apt-get install kmail-trinity --fix-missing and of course getting the dreaded 404 errors, but joy and jubilation, early this morning no errors and KMail is now installed. :-) So (fingers crossed) "The mirrors are back!". Thanks Tim.

Still not working any better here. Still need almost 50MB of debs. Almost no new ones available today at all. The lists (/var/lib/apt/lists) have been working for several days now, so if there was another way to get the rest of the debs I'd be in business.
Any update on when the mirror will be fully functional? I'm still getting the same 404 errors I got yesterday.
They are still undergoing an initial synchronization. I do not have an estimate at this time.

Um, all I see is 3.5.13 tarballs and Ubuntu/Debian stuff. Will the packages for other distros become available too?
If yes (be patient Grasshopper), will the packagers be able to do their own syncing?
If no, then what should the other distro packagers do?

Yes. The entire mirror system will come online exactly the way it was before uidaho went down--it will just take a while.

Same as before; I can rsync from anyone who provides access to their public distribution packages for publication on the mirrors.

Okay. Would be one less thing for you to do if packagers could keep their own packages synced. :)

I still don't see any packages other than Ubuntu. Am I missing something obvious?

No. I am still working on getting the files to a high speed mirror.
The actual size of the entire archive is approximately 130GB, probably due to the nightly builds and the new RedHat packages. As you can imagine that amount of data takes quite a long time to transfer.

Hmm. In that case, consider not transferring the original 3.5.13 Slackware packages I created. I made some mistakes with those builds (lessons learned). Currently I am in the process of building new packages along with separate debug symbols packages. The latter will help us troubleshoot bugs. :)
I'll contact you when I upload the final packages so you can sync them to your top level server and then copy to the mirrors. :)
Sound okay?
