In Slackware and also on FreeBSD (the latter if I recall), TDM has a different look than when I install it on something like Devuan for example. Particularly it has a rounded and transparent KDE4 "Oxygen" look to it, and the options in the Display Manager module do not work when this kind of TDM is installed, like adding a clock, the logo, or changing the widget style.
Tdmtheme is not installed. I thought it was tdmtheme that changed it to look like this out of the box but it doesn't seem to be related. It looks to be the default in certain TDE ports.
Secondly to keep from posting twice I also can't access the Display Manager module. If I click on it the window does not open, and I'm not sure what it depends on that I may be missing since this is on Slack.
First off, I never had the "Display Manager section missing" problem, so I only can assume it's some screw up with the control module installation.
Now, to get the classic TDM look you *do* install tdmtheme (because this is the easiest way). A new section should appear in TCC labeled something like "TDM Theme Manager". There, if I recall correctly, you have to disable themes for TDM and that's it.

I enjoy the "classic" look of KDM by including the following in tdmrc:
LogoArea=Clock UseTheme=false Theme=

I actually misnamed it. The module is "Login Manager" but you seemed to understand. :-) I don't think it's missing because I have the option in the Trinity Control Center under System Administration. I also don't recall any errors because I set Ray-V's script to stop on every error.
UPDATE: I seemed to bypass this by going to the Trinity Control Center and opening Administrator Mode instead of doing it from the Start Menu. I was able to do everything as usual this way.

This actually worked. It turns out the themes that appear in tdmtheme were installed anyway, and it was using the "o2_enterprise" theme.
