Greetings;
Updated one on my milling machines today but had a minor problem.
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/knetwalk-trinity_4%3a14.0.10~pre19-0debian7.0.0+7_i386.deb: trying to overwrite '/opt/trinity/share/apps/carddecks/cards-aisleriot/COPYRIGHT', which is also in package tdegames-card-data-trinity 4:14.0.10~pre19-0debian7.0.0+7
So I'll have to fix broken but it doesn't fix this.
Cheers, Gene Heskett

Hi Gene,
Even long term support for a limited subset of Wheezy ended in 2018. Most of Wheezy went out of support in 2016.
I suggest you install supported software.
Otherwise you could try uninstalling any games on the milling machine. It might even microscopically improve its performance.

Just to clarify: The problem is with the knetwalk-trinity package for all DEB distributions - see another mail in this thread. You need to wait for the build and upload of updated packages.
I apologize for the complication, it was caused by my mistake.
Cheers

Thanks. I failed to notice that Gene is running long obsolete software in combination with highly volatile testing software.
Gene is there a reason you're not at least running the stable version of TDE?

I don't mind playing the canary in the coal mine, Mike as long as there is somebody to listen to the canary, never have. See my other msgs today, as I find my "round tuit", that will get fixed.
Thanks Mike.

Well since I don't play them, they are wasted disk space to me. I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, I have 4 new (to me that is) i5 powered off lease dells being boxed for shipment, and buster will get installed on those as I put them into service. Depends on me locating my coffee cup with a round tuit on it. :) Sometimes its in the dishwasher getting rebored. Victim of an old fart living alone these days. Some days its like me, it doesn't run. ;-)

remove it - it will most likely remove some other package take note - may be you need some of them upgrade and dist upgrade if needed install from removed
I remember there were also similar debian issues back then, but in the past two (stretch/buster) it was smooth (this is to not give up)

On this machine, I do play patience now and again, and I expect that will remove it. On that machine I don't care, but synaptic wants to remove tde-trinity too. ????
Its probably moot, as its the 2nd old dell that is going to be replaced with a newer i5 powered dell when I get them. And xfce4 works fine on buster.
Thanks Deloptes.

That's the metapackagfe-dependency-problem. Best way to work around it is to set all metapackages to manual , then check again and work your way down the "apt-mark manual xxx; apt-get purge zzzz" road till it will only remove packagey you can spare.

Slavek said it was his typu and the next build will fix it. I'm just the canary.

yes it removes meta packages as tde games is meta package and tde-trinity depends on tde games
or wait forthe build of the fixed one
