Hi all,
I have a question about KPDF under Trinity 3.5.13.2, Debian wheezy. I have problems with fonts in PDFs built using LaTeX - see attached screenshot (I hope it makes it to the list). Notice how the upper curve of 'o' and 'e' is not visible. Same happens with lower curve of 's'. This is pretty annoying. Is there any way to fix this? On my other machine that still runs KDE3 this problem does not exist, so there should be a way of fixing this. Perhaps I should install some system-wide set of fonts?

Have you verified, that the those upper curves are to be seen in a different PDF viewer (that it's a problem of kpdf)?

Yes. I'm currently using Acrobat Reader as a replacement - it displays these documents correctly. Also, as mention in my mail, the same documents display correctly using KPDF on another machine.

Hi Janek, could you file a bug report and attach a sample pdf file that shows the problem (not a screenshot!), so that later we can use it as test file? Thanks Michele

The problem is now reported on the bugtracker as 2383:

Please let me know if there is any other way I can help with this.

Michele, out of curiosity - are you able to reproduce the problem on your system?

Hi Janek, hope you are doing well.
The good news: I am able to reproduce the problem using the file you attached in the bug report. Other files that I have tested do not seem to display the problem though. Sorry I didn't mentioned my test results earlier.
The bad news: it is very unlikely I will be able to even take a look at the problem for the next 4 months. I am currently under a very heavy workload (6 days week/9-10 hours per day + commuting time) and have almost no time for TDE (and other things) unfortunately :-(
Please be patient :-) (unless Tim or Slavek have a chance to look at it before I can).
Cheers Michele
Michele, thanks for checking this. There's no rush - at the moment I don't plan on upgrading to R14 and the fix would probably go there anyway.
