I am using Trinity in an environment with no kde4 and hence no qt4.
Everything is compiled with /usr prefix. I am also using a slackware 14.0
base. I need to compile avahi so as to give konqueror zeroconf support but
here is where i run into a predicament. Avahi looks for moc-qt3 and moc
(during compilation) and since these have become moc-tqt and tmoc it does
not find them.
Can anyone experienced with building on slack14 give me an idea how to get
around this?
I am using latest git (3rd November 2012) and building under slackware
13.37 (Stripped version called porteus).
My problem resembles the problem Darrell was having here:

The problem seems to appear at build of poppler-tqt hooks when poppler
headers (in /usr/include/poppler) are not being found.
I've noted the following bugs and fixes appear to have made their way to
git.

for me as poppler-tqt and IexMath is not required.

builds for Debian and Ubuntu coming shortly.

The menu highlight scrolling no longer works except with a strict plastik theme/widgets.
Affected are all TDE app menus and the TDE menu.
The build set is from two days ago but today I pulled the latest for tqt3, tqtinterface, and tdelibs and rebuilt. No change. I don't know what other changes have taken place because the commit page has updated in two days.

I'm trying to build tqtinterface (with cmake). I cloned tqtinterface
from git, but the tqtinterface/cmake directory seems to be empty, and
I get an error on TDE_Macros and tde_save. I see the TDEMacros file in
the cmake module, but I get an error when I try to clone cmake like I
did tqtinterface.

What's the process for referencing the cmake shared files when I'm

As far I understand, the presets in kradio are just xml files with the
same structure from the previous kradio/kde3 to the latest from
kradio/kde4.
When the coder ported to QT4/kde4, he didn't change the xml files and the
way to write them.
I'm currently updating kradio-trinity-3.5.13.1 with kradio4-presets-4.0.6
from http://kradio.sourceforge.net.
I did a simple compile test on a Debian squeeze box and the presets, I had
added, appears in the configuration part the software.
Unfortunately I don't have a radio device to push the testing further.
Are you interrested in the goal of updating Kradio's presets ?
If so I'm willing to do it, this doesn't require programming skills (we
have to add new countries in the Makefile.am in the presets directory
nonetheless...not to difficult but time consuming )-; ).
I've settled a public subversion repository that I intend to update a

I grepped the entire Trinity source tree and found only a few instances of Trinity using $HOME/.kderc.

I grepped some of the KDE4 sources. This file remains in use in KDE4.
I don't know whether the format of this file is shareable by both desktops. To avoid potential conflicts, I recommend renaming to $HOME/.tderc.
I would update the migratekde3 script too.
There are references in the Trinity code to /etc/kderc. This file is not related to $HOME/.kderc, but is still used in KDE4. Seems then /etc/kderc should be renamed to /etc/tderc. There is a /etc/kde4rc. Perhaps /etc/kderc is retained in KDE4 for historical purposes.
I think that moving $HOME/.kderc to $TDEHOME/share/config/kderc and not being hidden as a dot file makes sense.
Any objections to this renaming? Speak now or forever hold your peace. :)
