deloptes,
hope you had a nice vacation welcome back. I did pull in your patches (except the debian bits because packaging is a separate repo according to SlavekB), and I also identified a few more crash conditions I need to fix. One occurs if you have the popup menu open and then right click on a stream whilst unplugging the soundcard (in this case, i have a USB headset) which causes a crash. Once Ihave a fix for that I should be pushing it up to the ceux repo on Gitea

not all have the ability to control backlight just based on the hardware. Though you could try both, autoconfigure the brightness to show based on the hardware -- but that generally complicates the app significantly.
AFAIR it is now located in tdepowersave, which also makes sense. We had discussions before that tdepowersave needs a review and modernization. Isn't it better to integrate it there and of course the brightness control should be integrated in kmilo as it is already now. I am not quite sure, but I think to remember that it talks to tdepowersave via dcop. There should be always one source of truth.
If I find the motivation to finish the ksysbacklight implementation - I'll make that available too. ( I wouldn't hold you breath on that being next week :)
this is fine, I guess :-)
Did you have a look at the updated tmix? I am interested in feedback from real life experience with bluetooth, PULSE, ALSA, OSS.
