PyKDE3 is an upstream source package. If PyKDE3 needs to be patched then the patch needs
to go upstream. Otherwise Trinity code needs to be patched to accomodate PyKDE3 as is.

I experienced similar failures trying to build pykde3. It
looked like the pykde3
code will need to be updated in order for it to build. (I'm
not sure what)
Maybe on of the code gurus can take a peek and tell us what
is the problem :)
