This is probably the same curl issue that was discussed in another thread.
To workaround, try to add option to /etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg.
At the top of the file, there is a section (by default, it's empty):
{
}
In that section, add the following line so that it looks like this:
{
curl-options: -L
}
Then try again.

Then try again.
curl-options: -L --remote-time
did the trick.
BTW, I did it twice. The first time I forgot to switch repos from cauldron to 8
soon enough after (or before) 8 official release, so that install turned into 9,
while using 8 repos for TDE. It works well. I then cloned 7, and upgraded the
clone to get a straight 8.

That's what I had been noticing, but on the
installation that precipitated this
thread:
working -> yes
perfectly -> no
Restart previous session with Konsole left open with two tabs on restart
didn't even open at all, and opening from menu opened with only one tab.
After upgrade to 15.3, none of this changed.
Same 15.3 installation on host g5eas, restore previous session simply does
not work. It wasn't working while using the 15.2 trinity, but I went so far
as to log out, delete ~/.trinity, then log back in and restore in great detail
all my normal deviations from defaults. Then I opened Konsole, opened a MC
tab switched focus back to shell tab, then clicked "save as default", before
logging out with Konsole and the TDE version upgrade announcement window open.
Still it opens with an empty session: new version window & Konsole missing.
Exhaustive customizations via KControl list, clock confi, and config desktop:
*clock: font 16, display only 24 hour time with seconds
*taskbar: group similar tasks never and uncheck all boxes except show windows from all
desktops
*menus: change to name-description; most recently, not most frequently, count 10
*hiding: uncheck animate
*fonts: taskbar size 9
*launch feedback 11 sec
*display power: enable all 120minutes
*keyboard: delay 250, rate 20, turn on NUM
*regional other US letter, time & dates 24 hour, Sunday first day
*disable show icons on desktop and blank file icons and device icons tabs

ToDo: upgrade the rest of my 10+ 15.3 installations running on 15.2's TDE.
This one was the first I switched from using 15.2 TDE repos to 15.3's. I
have a bunch of 15.3 running KDE3 (and TW), and so far, no faults found.
