This draft document is open to peer review and changes. Whereas I am acting as final editor-in-chief, the document is something everybody here is encouraged to review and help write.

KDE4 activities don't seem to be about files but about managing multiple applications: http://www.ghacks.net/2010/08/16/kde-desktop-activities-explained/ I just tried it a little on my KDE 4.5 desktop, but I don't think it is really better than a 2-dimensional pager for most people.

We would like to post the document soon.
