I created a new etherpad:
http://trinity.etherpad.trinitydesktop.org/30
This pad contains an exhaustive outline list of TDE apps. The list is large and rather amazing by the size.
This list will serve as the beginning of creating an apps description section for the web site.
Feel free to edit the list.
The next step is to start collecting descriptions and screen shots for the apps. Descriptions will be anywhere from one sentence to two paragraphs.
Please share any ideas you have to programmatically collect those descriptions from an installed system, the SVN/GIT source file tree, or the web.
I don't know how to properly set up a pad so if the permissions are screwed then let me know so I can learn.
Thanks!

I don't know how. Here is a submission:
Development Qt3 Qt3 Designer: GUI design program for Qt3 Qt3 Assistant: Frontend for the Qt3 documentation Qt3 Linguist: Tool for translating Qt3-based applications
Other Qt3 Configuration: Configuration tool for Qt3-based applications

Actually, yesterday I conjured up a simple shell script to extract the abstract statements in all of the associated docbook help files. Most of the statements are simple one-liners, but they will serve as a start. After I copy and paste the abstracts to my outline we'll have something more meaningful to expand. I suspect a one-liner is sufficient for many of the app descriptions. Others will need more attention. We'll have to decide on which ones should have screen captures too.
I'll keep everybody posted. :)
