Actually TDE on FreeBSD works quite nice :-)
There are ony 2 things I have not working right now:
- Shutting down the computer from TDE logout - but that's a feature
I never use, I configured every notebook to shut down on lid close.
- storage media are not mounted correctly via HAL. This may or may
not be a problem of my configuration, as I have "automount"
installed for handling my storage media, but I think I have to look
at the code and figure out what goes wrong (I'll post what goes
wrong later - when I understand what actually happens).

Hi Nik, It's been a longtime since installing freebsd, at that time I
installed a few different bsd's, after your post I started reading
release notes and comparing other bsd's and it looks like freebsd is
the way to go when the time comes that I stop testing debian/devuan
and settle on a single distro, at that time ease of installation will
not be a factor as it is now, also Slackware is another option to
consider.
