Hi I'm trying to get skype sound to work but apparently the monkeys at MS removed alsa support and replaced it with pulse, which is rubbish. Even though I have pulse enable (pclos - ali's remaster), it still doesn't show up. Is there a fix to re-enable alsa or the like? Kate

Who are using 3.5.13.x series?

Hi to all, I know that there are still many users who use TDE 3.5.13.x series. Please, you use official 3.5.13.2 or my older PPA 'axis'? For those who use PPA 'axis': You've probably noticed that some time ago there were several updates. I would therefore ask you whether you can change the address in the sources.list from original ppa.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net to mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org. Benefits will be on both sides. Because on mirror.ppa are packages for most of distributions in the local cache, you'll have faster downloads. And thanks to this will be less load of line to the master server. Cheers -- Slávek

kaddressbook no resource file available kmail 1.9.10 trinity R14.0.3 on debian Jessie

had this system running for a while now, but somehow i never used kaddressbook. I thought i had it configured correctly, but, since it doesn't work, i done something wrong. The standard error is " no resource available". googling for it helps very little and everything reverts to kde4, even the "about kmail" help tag link!!!! any pointers to properly configuring kaddressbook would be appreciated. thanks in advance, d.

Still keyboard trouble

Hello all, I allready mentionned this problem, but it seems to get worse recently: I use Keyboard Layouts (enabled through Trinity Control Center). I set "German (Switzerland) ch, fr variant, as first Layout, with English (US) as second option. This works fine, except that I often loose the function of the "Alt Gr" key (for those who only know the US keyboard, Alt Gr is necessary to access a bunch of characters we use in non-English languages. This in inconvenient as it means I loose {} and [], but as I don-t program a lot... However we need the Alt Gr key also to get @, and it so happens that I use it in passwords that usually have to be typed in blind. I know where to find it on the US keyboard, but I have no way to know if my Alt Gr works or not before a password fails. This is independent from distribution (I had hoped that switching to Jessie and 14.0.2 would help, but not). What I don't know is what is causing the problem. The rest of the keyboard layout continues to work, only Alt Gr is gone. So far only loging out and in cures the problem. Anyone has a clue to what causes this? Thierry

Kate and Konsole settings lost

Hi there. After starting my laptop I notices that my two Kate instances had forgot the session they had open. Also, Konsole forgot its open tabs and the settings/schema/paper background. These were easy enough to restore but in case it's a symptom of a more serious problem I thought I'd run it by the list. Also, shutdown didn't complete so I had to hard-reset the laptop with the press-the-power-button-down-for-5-seconds trick, not nice! Regards, Philip Ashmore

Konqueror default view mode -- how to make it ‘really’ permanent?

However, during a Konqueror session it does not always stay that way; sometimes it reverts to ‘icon view’. For example, if I open a text file from Konqueror, the file will open in the application I have specified in ‘file associations’: LibreOffice for odt files, Kedit for txt files, etc. After such files are closed from Konqueror, the file list reverts to ‘detailed list’. If however I open any other file type, such as a jpg file, after such file is closed the file list reverts to ‘icon view’ instead of the ostensible default ‘detailed list’ file view. How do I cause Konqueror in such situations to revert to that default? Messages bouncing again

I have been getting messages again from the ezmlm program. They have improved - at least now I shall only be ejected if the probe fails, not if *I* bounce another message. In itself it is not a problem, since I can ignore or delete them, but it means that I get none of deloptes' messages to this list. The error message that I am sent suggests that it is Gmail's fault, but both deloptes and I use exactly the same email addresses on the Debian list as on this one, and I get his messages there, so it must in some way be due to ezmlm.
