this one is maybe easier than setting display size . . .
i only keep one desktop, so the pager is superfluous. also, i don't like it. i've managed to be rid of it on my other machines, but looking through the tiny little entries in trinity control center, i can't find where to uncheck it.
anybody know?

Hopefully I'm wrong but as far as I know... The only way to get rid of it (I hate it as well) is to use the bar.
Good luck,
Kate

Dep, are you talking about the desktop switcher in the taskbar? If so I turned mine off, and removed it from the taskbar, by left? right? mouse clicking on it and finding 'quit' on one of the resultant popup menus. There's a checkbox to not start again as well, which I'm guessing was on, or just after, the quit was selected.
Best, Michael

in Preliminary Stable, no mouse click offers that option, alas.

If the Pager is in a Panel then there should be a background/gray colored strip next to it - either left or above depending on the orientation of your Panel. Right clicking on this handle (strip) should give you several options including "Remove Desktop Preview & Pager".

Make sure the panel is unlocked.

thanks -- did the trick. had to right click on the frame of the pager itself, left side. took a bunch of tries; otherwise, was a menu with no removal option.
