Hi all!
I just ran into this problem: konqueror can open any file with a '#' in it - if the file is not on a dos partition. e.g.: "12345#hallo.txt" on a ext4 opens fine. The same file on a FAT32 does not open - konqeror tries to open a file "12345". "ls" on said FAT32 filesystem shows the correct name "12345#hallo.txt", so I suspect a konqueror problem.
Could somebody please test before I file a bug report?

For your amusement (and to test whether I can actually *post* to the new mailing
lists, since I got the confirm and welcome mails, but other messages have only
been coming from the old list), I offer the following glimpses of what the tweaked
website will look like on smaller devices:
Really narrow screens (such as phones) will see this:
https://i.postimg.cc/m2tsMdWb/tdepage-phone.png
Note the vertical menu at the bottom, and the header has been resized so that
the word "Development" doesn't overflow off the screen to the right.
Screens between 520px and 800px wide (of which I don't expect to find
many—some tablets held in portrait mode, maybe) will get this instead:
https://i.postimg.cc/y6fKkM5Q/tdepage-medium.png
Menu horizontal at the bottom, header larger but still not full-sized.
At 800px, it reverts to the format we all know and . . . love? In any case,
at 800px, the sidebar takes up a little more than 20% of the screen, which
should be acceptable to most.
The resizing trick doesn't work in Konqueror, unfortunately, since it doesn't
support CSS @media queries at the necessary level, but I am going to be
very surprised if anyone manages to get Konqueror onto a phone. The page
does resize itself correctly on the three modern browsers I've tested.

Dear all:
I sometimes recover data from damaged hard disk. For this i need perform THE
MINIMUM things to disk, inspect only the data that i require access or
inspect.
Sadly TDE try mount all data and put on desktop the shortcut. This is not
wanted feature by me. How disable it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
as some of you have experienced and reported in the past, Konqueror randomly crashes when cutting and pasting a file.
For example see:
https://bugs.trinitydesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3008http://mail.trinitydesktop.org/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/users@trinitydeskto…
This problem should now have been fixed by tdebase#178 (https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tdebase/pulls/178).
Given the random nature of the issue, before merging the patch to the master branch we would like to have additional
feedback from users who experienced the problem before. For this, Slavek has updated PSB/PTB packages with the
aforementioned patch and already published them.
Appreciated if users of PSB/PTB could report if no more crashes on cut-n-paste are experienced.
Cheers
Michele
Greetings;
Updated one on my milling machines today but had a minor problem.
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/knetwalk-trinity_4%3a14.0.10~pre19-0debian7.0.0+7_i386.deb:
trying to
overwrite '/opt/trinity/share/apps/carddecks/cards-aisleriot/COPYRIGHT',
which is also in package tdegames-card-data-trinity
4:14.0.10~pre19-0debian7.0.0+7
So I'll have to fix broken but it doesn't fix this.
Cheers, Gene Heskett

Hi. Since upgrading to fedora 33 my konsole began freezing when it
encounters non-ascii characters. I've tried different fonts and even
installed TDE on a new fedora VM, still freezes.
For example : cat /usr/share/applications/*
Some of the mail I get is HTML-only, and has vertical bars for indentation markers instead of >. Unfortunately, they are almost impossible to see (much like the break markers in toolbars. Is there a way to change their colour? I tried modifying the Alternative Background Color in settings, but that didn't help.

Good day!
Has anyone noticed that kweather applet doesn't update weather data
anymore since some weeks?
More exactly, weather data for "Berlin-Tegel". Kweather comes obviously
with a database from which you can choose your location (airport). For
Berlin that used to be "Berlin-Tegel" and "Berlin-Tempelhof" (which is
dead since 2009). I checked with "Braunschweig" and it shows actual
current data.
Last time that happened the URL for retrieving the data had changed on
the part of the server (noaa.gov). This URL was hardcoded in the source
of the software and one of the developers had to change it (Tim did
that) and it worked again since.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the U.S.
Department of Commerce offers a lot of services on nws.noaa.gov where
the local weather data used to be served as single html pages which
were named according to their respective ICAO-Codes (airport IDs).
I suspect they again changed something, but I couldn't find anything
relevant on their homepage in a couple of minutes.
"QCLCD ASCII Files are no longer available. Please use the Global-Hourly
File Access link above."
I don't know what "QCLCD" means. I'm only guessing here anyway.
Maybe only kweather's database of available airport weather stations
needs to be updated…
Kind regards,
Stefan

Also PE and NU; and according to Wikipedia, YK is commonly used, but the
official code is YT. (!)

Hi Doc,
The package, in PCLOS, is called trinity-mplayerthumbs
When I did a search for mplayerthumbs-trinity, nothing showed up.
Try trinity-mplayerthumbs or just mplayerthumbs
What distro btw (not that it would make a diff I think)?
Kate
PS it works well here.
