[trinity-users] KMail filter question

Hi All, Is it possible to setup a KMail filter that will: - Only operates in one specific folder (and never in any other) - that removes all messages older than one month? I get a ton of server messages, 50+K per month, that are only useful for a specific number of days. I know how to filter these info only ones into a single folder, but the deleting I’m not too sure of. (and don't want to have to restore my mail system a dozen times in testing...) [trinity-users] About A Boy, hmm.. a zombie - errr Transmageddon...

OK I'll like to begin by blaming, I mean crediting Nik for the clue I needed to build Transmageddon. He said it was a gtk3 app. So I installed all the related devel packages and built it. He was right, it was a gtk3 problem. Once I rebuilt it, it works great. Thanks to Nik and everyone. Hope everyone is fairing well in this zombie Apocalypse. Remember to double tap. See what it pops out. If you are up to it, grab the source code and build it. If you get it working like that, that means the deb package is likely faulty somehow. [trinity-users] try harder update?

Does Debian have any kind of configuration option that can make 'apt upgrade' try harder to download all packages instead of all except one that for whatever mirror failure reason fails, and halting the upgrade process because that one file didn't download? It seems typical here that one package, any package, isn't found on the trinity mirrors on the first pass, but on second invocation of apt upgrade, that one package is fetched, and the entire apt upgrade continues to completion. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science. [trinity-users] kmail, video conference send invitaion issue

Trinity 14.0.8 (stable), Debian stable Kmail is set as default email client. Sending an invitation from video conferencing , meet.jitsi, kmail composer pops up but no invitation is displayed in the email body. Normal behavior? Not what I expected. gregm

[trinity-users] transmegeddon video encoder

Hi humans, AIs and others. I've been playing with transmegeddon. It doesn't seem to work at all. I can open an avi video file but, if I open anything else, it crashes. Once I've set it up to convert the avi to say an ogm, it sits there doing nothing. Can someone else check it out? [trinity-users] Downgrade trinity.

Last weekend I updated tde to version R14.0.8. From that moment the system becomes progressively slow until it becomes unusable. Frequent application crashes. Kicker crashes every time I change virtual desktop. Ubuntu 16.04 on LTSP. It's an unusual configuration, I think it's very difficult to investigate and I'd rather go back to the previous version. How can I do that? I enclose what I was able to get on a crash. [trinity-users] Does Trinity run on Debian Testing?

I just got myself a new PC but sadly some of the newer hardware is not yet supported in Debian Stable. I'm considering turning to Debian Testing instead but the question is whether Trinity runs on it? Does anyone have any experience they can share? [trinity-users] r14-xdg-update script problem

I'm a long-time TDE user who just updated to the final TDE 14.0.8 from the 14.0.8 development version. I'm using a Debian sid version with kernel 5.6.0-7.1-liquorix-amd64 which has been working well. The update went well and everything appears to be working fine (not too surprised there as the development versions were good) but there is an issue at startup. There are 3 notices that come up that indicate the r4-xdg-update script has not completed successfully. I've restarted about 6 or 7 times but it hasn't gone away. It says "error code 9 Common failures include file and directory permissions" The file "r14-xgd-update-validation-test9.txt" contains the text below <Filename>kde-kpdf_part.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-ksensors.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-ksensors.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-superkaramba.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-fsview.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-kbiff.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-kbiff.desktop</Filename> <Filename>kde-kpdf_part.desktop</Filename> I'm not sure exactly how to proceed but expect the solution is some relatively simple editing of some TDE configuration files.
