Hi !
First of all, thanks for making trinity. I works very well, and finally I
found the lightweight DE that I was looking for.
So I started compiling apps, and started with amarok. I downloaded from
trinity's server (meaning, not from git). Then cmake . and make. It gives me
this error when it tries to compile libamarok.so.0.0.0:
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-slackware-linux/5.3.0/../../../../x86_64-slackware-linux/bin/ld:
cannot find -ltagmp4-static
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
amarok/src/CMakeFiles/amarok-shared.dir/build.make:3012: recipe for
target 'amarok/src/libamarok.so.0.0.0' failed
make[2]: *** [amarok/src/libamarok.so.0.0.0] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/kubuntu/home/dvadell/tde3/build/amarok'
CMakeFiles/Makefile2:199: recipe for
target 'amarok/src/CMakeFiles/amarok-shared.dir/all' failed
make[1]: *** [amarok/src/CMakeFiles/amarok-shared.dir/all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory '/kubuntu/home/dvadell/tde3/build/amarok'
Makefile:127: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2
So I unistalled KDE4 (I didn't need it now :) ) but the error remains.
If anyone could help me, I would be very grateful. Again, thanks for
trinity.
Cheers,
-- Diego.
Greetings all;
I have been forced to open a terminal and do an "alsactl restore" after
every login despite scattering such around in the rc.local and Xsession
files.
A misscue with htop killed tdm yesterday, and when it had reinited to the
login screen, and I had restarted everything that killed, I had no
sound, indicating the sound killer was maybe part of the stuff that runs
as root before I login.
So, since its working ATM, I just did a "sudo alsactl store", which if
its root related, should fix it. We'll see on the next x restart,
whether its a reboot or ?? And when I have had to restart, if I then
have sound, I'll report back.
Cheers, Gene Heskett

Greetings;
I use mailfilter as a prefilter in front of fetchmail to nuke some spam
while its still on the server.
But its missing hits on what I suspect is the From: or Return-Path:
strings that have quotation marks in the string because the string is
being spec'd by being surrounded by "show this name" bs.
I've added the character < as part of the string its to search for, so
the search string now looks like "From:.*<*\.unwanted-tld". Does this
stand that famous snow balls chance in hell of working well with or
without a quoted "some funkity name" in front of the real url with the
<> around it?
I just love the lack of documentation on how this string comparison stuff
works as shown by the man pages for grep and regex. All sorts of
control options are well covered, but figureing out how to write a
search expression must be one of the worlds better guarded secrets.
So if someone could show me, or give a url that actually has the full
docs, I'd be greatfull.
Thanks.
Cheers, Gene Heskett

Hello,
I've migrated to Centos 7 / TDE 14.0.3. Everything went fine, apart from
one point: I am no longer seeing on the screen only the contents of my
$HOME/Desktop folder like it was before, but rather the contents of
my entire home directory.
Apparently there should be some configuration option which would allow
to define $HOME/Desktop as a starting point in place of $HOME, but so
far I was unable to locate it.
What should I change? Thanks a lot ahead for any hint!
Andy.
Dear all,
we discussed about a new logo for a while. So I would like to invite whoever is interested to submit their proposals or
ideas within the end of the month to this ML. After that we will arrange some sort of vote to choose 3 or 4 possible
candidates (including the "keep the current logo possibility") and at the end we will see what Tim thinks about it.
Thanks everyone for his/her contribution.
Cheers
Michele
PS: let's *NOT* start another war-like email chain on this again :-) Just submit yuor proposal ;-)
Hello all,
Basically, this is possibly somewhat off topic, but as it's still TDE related,
maybe someone allready found a solution:
I've been using Kaffeine for years to watch DVB-S. Mor recently, I got a USB
DVB-C receiver (Sundtek) and it works relatively well (although I got
freezes).
My problem is that my Cable operator recently warned us that some programs
would stop being proposed in their non-HD version. Kaffeine, however, does
not work with the HD versions (at least I can't set them up).
Eye TV (on a Mac Mini) works (I use that as a recorder under my TV set). Am I
missing some settings on Kaffeine (0.8.8)?

Hi all,
since I have installed pulseaudio I have a problem with the multimedia audio
keys.
Where are they configured?
In particular when I press mute and unmute in KMix both pulse and "HDA Intel
PCH" Master volume get messed and unmute does not toggle both controls, so
that I have to open KMix and unmute manually.
Any ideas?
thanks in advance
PS: I recall I have played with multimedia keys perhaps 6y. ago. No idea
where it was - just vague memory that it was about remote control and my
first tv card/stick.
