I mean I get a black window, no matter if I fit the image to window or not.
The picture can't b viewed, there is no error message, just a plain, black
window in kview and a grey background in Gwenview. Ristretto needs two
seconds to show the picture, but it does. Someone suggested using Dolphin,
well it does not show previews either.
Not such a problem, but I used to use the previews to organize pictures. Now
it requires Ristretto to see the pictures and then use konqueror as the file
manager - but as I use two monitors it's no big problem.
I'm making a new install on another computer now so as to test if this could
be a local problem.

Using KMail 1.9.10 on TDE 3.5.13.2
There always used to be a neat little panel on the right of the toolbar that
had a drop-down menu where one could choose what to display. That seems no
longer to be there: both I and my husband have lost it.
So how do I resurrect the panel? Or how do I get access to the emails that I
have marked as being important or for action? (Without going through my
emails one by one!)
Thanks,
Lisi
Hello all,
I'm running Trinity (latest stable) on openSuSE 12.3. In Konqueror (file
management). It seems I can get previews for "smaller" pictures (up to at
least 4896x3264 pixels), but not for larger ones (7216x5412).
Gimp loads these, kview does not, neither can Gwenview. However, if I load
the pictures in the Ristretto Image Viewer (that obviously creates thumbnails
for it's own use), then refresh in Konqueror, I get the previews.
So I guess there is some limit with the "engine" used for picture viewers in
Trinity? I must check, but I think it worked OK with the KDE 3 from
openSuSE, maybe I'm wrong.
Note that I _did _ check the settings in configure-konqueror - Previews &
Meta-Data and set the maximum file size at 100MB, to test (the files are
around 5 MB jpg), it did not change anything,

I have trinity on fedora 17. I need to import mp3 with Audacity, and as far as I know, Audacity shuld be able to do so, but the trinity version does not
I've just installed TDE and J have one problem. When I start TDE
session error pops up: Could not start kdeinit. Check your
installation. I click ok and system is starts normal. I run commend:
janek@linux-fay4:~> ps -e|grep kdeinit
4707 ? 00:00:00 kdeinit
kdeinit is running.
System openSUSE 12.3 and TDE
Any ideas?

So, I deleted all templates in kmailrc, leaving only
[GlobalTemplates]

TemplateReplyAll=%REM="Default reply all

And now it works. I had copied kmailrc from a previous install (KDE3),
probably it came from there (I found a group of templates named "[Templates
#IDENTITY_somenumber]", don't know where they came from.
Good night.

What are Trinity users who want Kdenlive using? KDE3 version? KDE4 version?
Does Trinity have its own version I haven't discovered? Something else? If I
choose the KDE3 version, zypper wants to install a total of 6 packages. If I
choose KDE4 version, zypper wants to install a total of 33 packages,
including kdelibs4, kdelibs4-core, kdebase4-runtime, soprano, oxygen icon
theme & kde4-filesystem.

Hello all,
I just installed TDE on openSuSE 12.3. Things run fine, however I noticed
that kmail now top-posts !?!
I've tried modifying the templates, but nothing happens. I guess the changes
are not being written/read? It's setup in kmailrc?
It was OK before, but then I was running KDE 3.5.10 so...

Hi everyone!
I'm currently looking at making work a pixmap-based theme on TDE 3.5.13.2
From what I could understand, during the KDE3 era, pixmap-based themes were deprecated and replaced by programmed themes, which are not based on lots of small images, as it was in KDE2. But, they are said to still work on KDE3.
The point is not especially to use this theme, but to try to create a new one.
Here is the URL of the theme I'm trying to make work on TDE:
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=153&forumpage=16
I adapted the path in the install script to make it point to the TDE folders and I followed the readme file, but the theme appears without its images, which makes it useless and not working...
Is there someone here who would know how to make it work on TDE?
Thank you in advance!
