Hello.
In my sources.list, everything is a comment, except the last line :
tags file:///usr/share/debtags/
That's it
Good morning. Now that I can setup a mobile connection, i want to use it todownload packages. However, no matter which I try to installusing apt-get, I always get the same error message. For instance, trying to install alien produce the following :---------------------------
manghi@silverblack:~$ sudo apt-get install alien
Lettura elenco dei pacchetti... Fatto
Generazione albero delle dipendenze
Lettura informazioni sullo stato... Fatto
manghi@silverblack:~$ --------------------------------------That is :no available versions for alien package. It is named by a different package. Thiscould mean that it doesn't exist, or that it is obsolete, or that it is provided onlyby a different source. But : what does it mean ? What I should do ?ThanksDaniele Manghi

Great !!! I've downloaded umtsmon from sourceforge, and I did not even have to
compile it, because the tar.gz
contains a binary. I had just to fill in the APN of my network provider,
figure out that umtsmon had to be run
as superuser (-> sudo), and it worked out-of-the-box.
Many many thanks!

Good Morning to Everyone.I've just downloaded and installed a pre-built Maverick (Ubuntu 10.10) with Trinityon an old TOSHIBA Satellite U-200. I would be verry happy to drop KDE4.x, which I don'tlike at all, and keep my old good (very very good) KDE 3.5.
I was having troubles with wireless, but they are solved and now wireless is OK.Unfortunately, now I'm not managing to setup a mobile connection through a huaweiusb key. Is there some guide about how to configure a mobile connection under Trinity ?ThanksDaniele Manghi
Hello,
After using Trinity 3.5.12 for months under RHEL 6, I think it's time to
share my packages.
They run fine under RHEL 6, Scientific Linux 6 and probably Centos 6 too.
I've just written a minimalistic page with instructions and a YUM
repository here:
http://trinity.mangafrance.com/
Source RPMS are also provided.
Have fun !

Good morning. I've installed Kubuntu(Maverick)+Trinity from your preassembledbinary distribution, to replace my old Fedora 8 - still retaining a KDE 3.5, with which Iwas very happy, instead of getting a KDE 4.x. All seemed OK, but, unfortunately, I am not able anymore to connect through wi-fi to the Linux system which was acting as my router to the Internet. The connecting procedure works if I configurethis wi-fi connection with fixed IP address and DNS address. It breaks at the IP configuration step if I configure this connection as DHCP-based (as I was used to). I did not changed absolutely nothing in the router configuration, so I was expecting all would have worked seamlessly. I realized that, with DHCP, the connection from router to Internet must be ok for all to work well, butit is certainly so, because I can access the Internet from the router's desktop.
Do you have any idea of which the problem could be ?ThanksDaniele Manghi
So I was approached with the idea that weekends might be better,
because more people are available and more testing can be done. Kudos
to Calvin.
Because I cannot push it further back than it already is, I have moved
it forward.

Hi!
I just happen to have a wierd problem on a T61p + wheezy: kpowersave was
running, but no battery or cpu information was shown. As it is, hald does not
start. When I put a "lshal" in rc.local, hald is running and anything works
fine. So my question is, why does this happen? I way quite surprised, because
the same image runs on a T60p (which is quite the same hardware) and there
hald is running by default.

Hi,
when I do Alt+F2 the window "execute command" pops up but is not active
because the mouse pointer is somwhere on the screen. Is there a possibility
to place the mouse pointer directly into a pop up window?
