Hi All,
I was wondering if I can stop entry boxes ( like the URL bar in konqueror to not automatically clear when I hit CTRL+L ). This also happens in File Dialogs.
The default for browsers and GTK+ as well as Mac, is to Highlight the bars contents, not delete it.
Surely there is an option somewhere?

Try Konqueror -> Settings -> Configure Shortcuts. You probably want to unbind CTRL-L from Konqueror -> Clear Location Bar, and possibly rebind it as an alternate to Shortcuts -> Select All to get the GTK+ behaviour. I'm not sure if that will carry over to file dialogues, but it might.
(I'm basing the above on KDE 3.5, but it doesn't seem to me like something that Trinity would change . . .)

I spoke too quickly, I need to select the location bar's contents. It doesnt seem to exist as a shortcut possiblity.

Selecting the location bar doesn't appear as a seperate shortcut, no (the workaround I suggested above sort-of works, but requires an extra mouse click). I would suggest filing a bug report asking for the additional shortcut setting.
