In Windows' [shudder] explorer, one can right click on a file and email it. Is there a way to get Konqueror to do that?
Hello,
Yes you do it. You only need to create a script to do it and save the file in the servicemenu in /opt/trinity/share/....
I will send you an example later.
Sincerely,

This functionality should be built in, and was working as of 3.5.12, but it seems to be missing in the nightly builds. What version of TDE are you using?
Thanks!
Tim

It seems that Konqueror does not contain very many service menus by default; I have the Email File option because the Debian packaging added it in. I will start moving these useful service menus into the TDE source tree.

I'm using Release 3.5.13.2 (from Slavek) and have the two following possibilities in Konqueror:
Ordinary File: right click -> Action -> Email File Archive File: right click -> Email File
works like a charm, don't know why it's not available for you?!

It's not available to me. Also TDE 3.5.13.2 fully updated thanks to Slávek. Running on Squeeze.
If I right click on a file and go to actions I get the following 4 options:
encrypt file edit as root download with kget print...

Strange, I have: Email Print Edit as Root
I copied my .trinity folder formerly from a .kde folder - maybe that's the reason to have different menues. I just scanned the .trinity folder and its sub-folders to search for the location where those menues are defined without success. If we knew it - we could share it.

hey,
so I have an old (by present standards) netbook, specifically
Samsung N145 Plus
I've got Hare's version of Trinity Desktop on it; having some trouble getting wifi to work. I get the old 'no wireless extensions' problem.
I've got wireless-tools installed and firmware-wifi; backports for squeeze set up in sources.list.
if I do "sudo /sbin/modprobe iwlagn" the driver seems to load and dmesg tells me stuff about khz and antenna gain, etc.
still nothing shows in iwconfig or wicd.
wifi works on this machine: opensuse, netrunner, some other stuff, catches it easily.
I wonder if this is a kernel issue? it's got 2.6.32-5-686.
suggestions welcome.
(the wireless hardware is identified as centrino wireless-n 100).

Looks like that might be the case -- try at least 2.6.37:

ah, right. seems so. I recall that the OpenSuse was up to 3.x.x; don't recall Netrunner.
this should get me going. thank you for the reference.

hey, I think I have to chalk it up to the kernel. I went a bit overboard and installed 3.2.0-0 and sure enough, iwlwifi was up and running.
thanks for the clue.
