This window is in english. How to make it in french. It is the only element that is in english. The TDE chosen language is French. I don't mind, it's just to know. Cheers André

Yes. The menu down, on the left on the dashboard, Kmenu, a window opens to logout, shutdown, reboot...

It is applet used in the kicker / main panel. If I am not completely confused it is lockout_panelapplet

This may be a silly question, but after changing the language to French, did you logout and login? I tested with Italian translations, and after a logout/login those strings changed into Italian. Without logging out, they stayed in English.

Hi André, uhm... that sounds very weird. The strings are translated (I can find them in the tde-i18n package) so there is no reason why they should still show up in English. Just to be sure, is this with R14.1.0? And did they show up correctly with R14.0.13? Cheers Michele

Yes Michele, Qt: 3.5.0 , TDE: R14.1.0 , tde-config: 1.0 It showed up correctly with R14.0.13 (in french). So, Effectively, weird...
A precision : just the first line is in french : "finir la session pour "André" and button last line "Annuler".

It looks like your screenshot is from the R14.0.x series. I have attached a screenshot of the R14.1.0 series. As you can see the strings are different, hence translations are not found and you see the strings in English on your system. Are you sure you have correctly/fully updated to R14.1.0?

Um, not really. The buttons in Michele's screenshot have shorter labels— "Log Off" rather than "End Current Session", for example. It's the buttons that are the issue here.

The picture of my precedent mail was a fac-simile, because a screenshot is impossible when the deconnection window is open. Now, the attached file is the good screenshot, because I took a picture with my smartphone. You can see that the first sentence above is in french, "Terminer la session pour Andre" and the last below too "Annuler", otherwise the rest is in english.

Yes, in R14.0.x the strings were translated, but they were modified - were shortened and new ones were added. No need to write mail to Philippe - better way is to create an account on TWTW and start translating there. This can be done very simply and there is no need for a programmer experience that Philippe has.
