Hello, Does someone know how to display a battery level indicator in the taskbar? I have installed kde-guidance-powermanager-trinity, klaptopdaemon-trinity, kpowersave-trinity, and laptop-mode-tools but haven't found how to do it. My taskbar does have an icon for configuring kpowersave. Robert

On my notebooks the battery level indicator shows up when I disconnect the powerline, but not while loading.

On mine it doesn't, so something must be missing or misconfigured :-(

The behaviour of the battery indicator is different in KDE4 and in TDE. On KDE4, you can right-click on the notification area to choose what it to be shown, but on TDE, these programs has to be started seperately.
If I remember well, kpowersave (or tdepowersave) has the same behaviour as kmix. To see it the first time, it has to be started from the K menu, then it should show up in the notification area. After that, it should be there at the following reboots.

Thank you! All I had to do was quit kpowersave, then restart it from the menu. Now the icon shows plugged in or on battery. Sometime when the battery level is down I will see if that is reflected in the icon. - Robert
