Hello,
Does someone know how to display a battery level indicator in the
taskbar? I have installed kde-guidance-powermanager-trinity,
klaptopdaemon-trinity, kpowersave-trinity, and laptop-mode-tools but
haven't found how to do it.
My taskbar does have an icon for configuring kpowersave.

On my notebooks the battery level indicator shows up when I disconnect the powerline, but
not while loading.

If I remember well, kpowersave (or tdepowersave) has the same behaviour as kmix.
To see it the first time, it has to be started from the K menu, then it should show up in
the notification area.
After that, it should be there at the following reboots.

The behaviour of the battery indicator is different in KDE4 and in TDE.
