Is there a time frame for when the new Trinity DVD enterprise will be out?
Hello,
Trinity is not a distro. Are you looking for Trinity packaged into a linux distribution?
Best regards

There's no such thing. TDE is exactly the same as KDE3, except that it's being developed further.
If you want an enterprise distribution using TDE, you can ask RedHat, CentOS, or similar to make official packages and to make an ISO using it. You might even be able to convince Ubuntu to include it in their next LTS release.
Another thing to try is to compile the packages you need on PCLinuxOS and use their custom script to make an ISO out of it.

I remember Tim had an ISO called Trinity for Enterprise, which came with more-enterprise-oriented settings and software by default for Maverick (looking at it right now), but I have no idea if he made one for Natty. >_>

Negative. No official ISO was made by Timothy. Francois, our Fedora packager created a liveCD though, check the ML archives.

I never heard of them.
TDE 3.5.12, eh? We should email them to say thinks for using TDE, and to tell them of the new release.
I think I'll download for a test run.

There is also Porteus, developed by some fans of the now unmaintained Slax, and thus based ultimately on Slackware. Porteus is a live CD, not intended for a regular installation, but does just fine as a frugal install, so an available unused partition is not needed.
It comes with KDE and LXDE. In the 64 bit version the KDE is KDE 4, in the 32 bit version it is TDE 3.5.12. http://porteus.org/ http://distrowatch.com/?newsid=06994

It says on their site 3.5.12 in the fourth paragraph down on their site. If it really is 3.5.13, a reminder to update the page should be sent.

I believe it is 3.5.12, as the iso is dated 22-Oct-2011. In any event this is the good work of David Hare who often posts here. He may comment sometime soon.

Maybe it would be a good thing to put this on the TDE website, too.

Indeed, the Exe web page needs updating! Coming soon (there is only me working on this)
However, as I posted here before I did a special version, using 3.5.13 TDE defaults with minimal modifications (due for an update, probably this week)
http://exe-linux.fastfishwebsolutions.com/tde
The ones linked in the website use some more modified defaults and are 3.5.12 till I get around to updating
Regards, David

There are not plans AFAIK. I don't see why it's needed either. I don't know of any other project that has specifically it's own distro?
