Hi
I followed exactly the instructions on https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/Ubuntu_Trinity_Repository_Installation_Instr...
And I obtained
Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-i386/Packages' as repository 'http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.x focal InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'i386' N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-i386/Packages' as repository ' http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-builddeps-r14.0.x focal InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'i386'
E: Failed to fetch http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.0.x/pool/main/t... Error reading from server. Remote end closed connection [IP: 37.205.10.16 80] E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?
So I run fix-missing and it seems to have succeeded, but I found the whole process a bit suspicious.
Any comments?
Regards
Uwe Brauer

That usually happens when you try and update when the mirrors are being updated. If you get that message again and you will at some point. Just delay the update for a couple of hours then update.

This is not a TDE thing.
Ubuntu itself no longer supports i386 as of 20.04 Focal Fossa.

I know, that is why this message is so puzzling,
dpkg --print-architecture; dpkg --print-foreign-architectures
